Tony Kaye, one of the founding members of Yes, appears on the newest episode of  Stereo Embers: The Podcast with Alex Green.

Kaye, who played on the legendary band’s first three albums (Yes, Time And A Word and The Yes Album), talks to Alex about Yes’s landmark 50th anniversary.

He also talks to Alex about seeing the Beatles–then the Silver Beatles–in Hamburg, why Geoff Downes is his favorite keyboardist and the evolution of the tennis player Rafael Nadal.

The Yes North American 35-date summer tour will find the band on the road through July and will feature Kaye, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood.

Not only that, but in other Yes news, Warner Music will be releasing YES: The Steven Wilson Remixes, which is a staggering five-album vinyl set that features Wilson’s remixes of five classic Yes studio records: The Yes Album (1971), Fragile (1971), Close To The Edge (1972), the double album Tales From Topographic Oceans (1973) and Relayer (1974).
