The Clean’s second EP Great Sounds Great, Good Sounds Good So-So Sounds So-So, Bad Sounds Bad, Rotten Sounds Rotten!! will be reissued in November by Merge.
Known among fans of the band simply as the Great Sounds Great EP, the 1982 effort will be out on vinyl for the first time since it was released over forty years ago.
The EP is a collector’s favorite, since it went out of print after its initial run.
Merge is also going to reissue the legendary New Zealand’s outfits “Getting Older” seven-inch single.
Transferred from the original master tapes which have been housed at the National Library of New Zealand Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa, both releases will be out on black vinyl
In a press release heralding the reissues, Merge wrote: “Collectors should take note that this 7-inch contains a small hidden extra — a few extra seconds of group discussion and false starts preceding “Whatever I Do is Right/Wrong” (humorously titled “Arguing” on the back cover) that has been shaved off from all previous digital releases of the song.”
“Getting Older” and Great Sounds Great, Good Sounds Good So-So Sounds So-So, Bad Sounds Bad, Rotten Sounds Rotten!! will both be out November 13th.
