Tears For Fears’ “I Love You But I’m Lost” is their first new song in almost 15 years and it was the most requested song on Bombshell Radio’s “The Heart Goes Boom” during the month of October.
“I’m from the ’80s, so I grew up with Tears For Fears,” says THGB host Alex Green. “And to hear them sounding as vital as ever is beyond cool.”
“I Love You But I’m Lost” is a whirling blast of dreamy pop that’s punctuated by the seamless blend of the voices of Roland Orzabel and Curt Smith.
Green says after he debuted “I Love You But I’m Lost” on his show, he was swamped with emails asking him to play it again.
“I got requests that came from all over the world–from San Francisco to India,” Green says. “Not only was it a pretty global listener-based response, it was the most-requested song I’ve had in my tenure at Bombshell Radio.”
Although they released a covers EP in 2014, the legendary Bath band’s last effort of original material was 2004’s Everybody Loves A Happy Ending.
“I Love You But I’m Lost” is one of two new tracks that’s found on Tears For Fears’ just-released greatest hits compilation Rule The World.
The second number is an emotive ballad called “Stay.”
