His longtime partner Victoria Mary Clarke revealed MacGowan broke his pelvis after doing what she described as a “complicated dance move.”
When the story broke, Stereo Embers’ Editor Alex Green, when asked to comment, declared MacGowan to be, “One of the greatest living writers,” and added: “The fact is, nobody has more nerve, heart and poetic precision as Shane MacGowan. He’s a towering, colossal talent who writes with muscle and grace. A speedy recovery to him.”
Stereo Embers is happy to report that MacGowan’s recovery was indeed speedy and after nearly two weeks recuperating under the watchful eye of his doctor, he is now home.
