Sara Lowes’ latest album The Joy Of Waiting is a stirring collection that brings to mind everyone from Beth Orton to Lykke Li.
A dark and textured listen, The Joy Of Waiting is filled with lush grooves, elegant strings and sensual, hypnotic loops.
Too many highlights to mention, but if pressed, there’s the swirling post-punk of “Most Things,” the meditative homage to author J.B. Priestely (conveniently titled “J.B. Priestley”) and the percussive and cinematic “I Find You.”
