The Record Company are one of my favorite bands to shoot.

Filled with energy, nerve and heart, they’re not only great visual subjects, they’re one of the best live bands in the world.

The Grammy-nominated outfit kicked off their tour in Ft. Lauderdale the other night along with the Jamestown Revival (2/15) at The Culture Room and the band’s first live date of 2017 showed that they’d gathered no dust during their break from the road.

The California trio of Chris Vos on vocals, guitars and harp, Alex Stiff on bass and Marc Cazorla on drums, played songs from their debut album Give It Back to You.  Their foot stomping blues and punk rock energy bring to mind a mix of Buddy Guy and The Ramones.

The Record Company will be joining John Mayer in April for his Search For Everything World Tour, including a date at Madison Square Garden, which is already sold out.
