The band-promised, imminent demise of Mötley Crüe appears to have been misinterpreted by…everyone.
The legendary band are currently in the midst of their valedictory tour, but singer Vince Neil has just revealed that the music is far from over.
Neil confirmed that the band will stop touring, but he said that doesn’t mean there won’t be any new music.
The nature of that music is still anyone’s guess (a Mick Mars solo album?) but Neil told the Oakland Press: “We’ve never said we were breaking up; we just said we’re not touring anymore. We’re gonna be definitely making more music together for different projects and stuff. But right now we’re really just focused on doing these shows this year and finishing with a bang.”
There will be a film documenting Mötley Crüe’s final arena lap as well as a full-length film based on the band’s biography The Dirt.
The California band actually signed a legally binding agreement that this tour will be their last and haven’t been shy about declaring that the whole enterprise is about the money.
