Porno For Pyros may be bidding farewell, but by the sound of their show the other night (3/7) at the Capitol Theatre in New York, proved that on their valedictory run they’re going to be nothing short of ferocious.

Original members Perry Farrell, guitarist Peter DiStefano, drummer Stephen Perkins and new bassist Mike Watt were in fine form, ripping through a career-spanning set, including tracks like “Sadness,” “Meija,” and “Orgasm.”

Their cover of the Stooges’ “I Got A Right” was pure sonic muscle and their new single “Little Me”–which is a sprightly blast of scruffy pop seamlessly blended with swirling psychedelia–sounded fantastic.

Later, the show closing combo of “Tahitian Moon” and “Pets” was absolutely perfect.
