Well-known electronic artist Pierce Fulton has switched sonic gears of late, changing to an alternative pop sound that shines brightly with his own vocals and lyrics. Fulton is fully embracing his move to a new genre, recently releasing the Borrowed Lives EP and now unveiling the 2nd part of his audiovisual journey with “Borrowed Lives” feat. NVDES and its accompanying video.
Fulton had previously offered up a creative and amusing backstory video that explained his change in sound and vision titled ‘My name is Pierce Fulton and this is Borrowed Lives.’ In that video, he introduced the viewer to his pet Betta fish Bo and ingested a special cookie that made him freak out to fun effect.
Fulton’s new music video for “Borrowed Lives” feat. NVDES is a bit more straightforward, at least aurally, with the song playing as Fulton continues his journey – this time getting out of his house with the mission of liberating Bo from the confines of his fishbowl. The video voyage is whimsical (live action is mixed with computer animation) and in keeping with the breezy nature of the tune, all while showcasing the majestic beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Will Fulton reach his destination and will Bo finally swim free in the wild?
