On Saturday March 7th at The Capitol Theater, Jay’s Happy Sunshine Burger Joint took the stage, opening up for Melvin Seals and the JGB Band.

JHSBJ has an infectious sound, emerging as a new style of jam band.

Whether performing the Cajun-influenced “Time Of Your Life” or their spin on The Dead’s “Franklin’s Tower,” the band had the audience cheering and dancing throughout their set. One of the highlights was the summer-anthem “Give A Little,” which featured drummer Jay Lane as the foundation for the song’s groove and clearly demonstrated that he’s a monster behind the kit.

Meanwhile, singer Sunshine Becker was truly captivating and Chris Burger’s singing and toasting added a unique flavor and power to the music.
