I caught Dark Star Orchestra the other night at the Capitol Theater in New York and it was quite a night.
For years the band has taken up residence in the Grateful Dead songbook with respect, grace and musical virtuosity.
The show was pure magic–DSO played an elegant and thoughtful set that was filled with spacey jams, stunning solos and percussive bliss.
It was a great way to end the week.
