Peter Hook & The Light played a blistering set at Irving Plaza last week here in New York.
Playing New Order’s classic Brotherhood and Low-Life albums plus an opening set of Joy Division numbers, Hook and his band were tireless and charismatic, plunging through these songbooks with energy and heart.
Flanked by his son Jack Bates and one of the best rhythm sections in the business, Hook ripped through each number with muscle and sting.
It was a killer show.
