Soulful pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Marga Lane is a native New Yorker and graduate of the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. Lane relocated to Los Angeles to continue to build up her career as a professional recording artist and songwriter. She’s been hard at work on a suite of songs that chronicles love and loss done in her heartfelt and emotionally vibrant style. Lane has titled the 5-track EP Undressed and it’s set for release December 2nd worldwide.
Lead single “Thinking About You” was unveiled this past Friday and it’s already gotten notice from Lance Bass who featured Lane on his Dirty Pop show on SiriusXM. Jazz guitar and Lane’s R&B flavor vocals flow through “Thinking About You”, which celebrates a new relationship and the love and hope that accompanies it.
Lane confides, “I would hope my music inspires people to have a belief in the power of love. Whether it’s love for yourself or love for another. You can believe that you are meant to be with a certain person or believe that you can overcome circumstances because you love yourself enough to.”
Undressed is a stripped-back EP that eschews the overproduction that is ubiquitous these days and instead keeps it simple, focusing on Lane’s powerful, but nuanced vocals, mellifluous acoustic guitar, and engaging melodies.
