Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats stopped by the Capitol Theatre in early December and they were incredible.
The German-born, Missouri-raised and Denver-based Rateliff is one of the most electrifying performers around and his gruff blend of soul and blues is decidedly stirring in a live setting.
The band’s smoldering set included a generous selection from their two Stax releases–the fiery “S.O.B.” and the riveting “Howling At The Moon” were notable inclusions–and their encore of “Trying So Hard Not To Know” was a perfect end to the show.
