Maggie McClure & Shane Henry Duet On Holiday Single “Christmastime Again”

Singer-songwriters Maggie McClure and Shane Henry are successful artists in their own right, but they also often write, record, and perform together. They are both originally from Oklahoma, but have relocated to the city of Los Angeles, playing at various venues that culminated in performances at the official Holiday Halftime Show and the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks last December.

McClure is also an accomplished pianist and recently released her third album, Time Moves On, which describes her journey from Oklahoma to LA. She has placed her music in numerous high-profile TV shows and can be heard singing in Freeform’s The Mistle-Tones and Disney’s Violetta. McClure recently toured with the artists Sara Bareilles, Tony Lucca, and Alicia Witt.

Henry is also a talented guitarist who opened for music legend B.B. King when he was only 19 years old. His blues-influenced guitar playing now incorporates other genres like rock, soul, and pop and his latest album, Light in the Dark, is slated for imminent release. Henry has opened for the notable artists Etta James, Edwin McCain, and Johnny Lang.

McClure and Henry have now teamed up once again to deliver the gift of song with their new holiday-themed single “Christmastime Again”. It’s a pleasant, retro-vibed tune that steps with a light, but bouncy tread that’s reminiscent of the Doo-Wop era.

Touches of wavering organ notes, shiny bell and tambourine jingle, picked acoustic guitar, brief electric guitar lines, scintillating cymbals, and a punchy drum beat accompany Henry’s sincere main vocals and McClure’s sweet back-up vocals. The lyrics of the chorus are filled with Christmas song titles and the warm association of holiday memories when hearing, and singing, classics like, “…First Noël and Silver Bells / and Silent Night / Deck the Halls / Rum pa pum pum and Rudolph’s nose so bright…”
