Los Lobos stopped by the Fairfield Theatre Company the other night and gave one of the best performances I’ve seen all year.
The Grammy-Award winning band played numbers off their most recent album–2015’s Gates Of Gold–as well as songs from their extensive discography, which dates back to 1976.
Led by David Hidalgo and Caesar Rosas–the Lennon/McCartney of roots music–the East-L.A. outfit were in fine form.
“Will The Wolf Survive?” was effortlessly brilliant; “Shakin’ Shakin’ Shakes” was buoyed by a dark groove and “Come On, Let’s Go” was sheer rockabilly bliss.
Here are some of my favorite shots of the night.
