This morning Kristin Hersh unveiled a rough version of a new song called “Lax.”
Set to appear in a different form on her upcoming Possible Dust Clouds album, Hersh posted “Lax” on her Soundcloud page.
Hersh just wrapped up a tour with Grant Lee Phillips and is gearing up for a busy summer–she was chosen by Meltdown Festival curator Robert Smith of The Cure to play at the popular London event and she’s just announced a six-date U.K. tour that will find her playing gigs in Glasgow, Newcastle, Halifax, Cambridge, Ramsgate and Brighton. Accompanying her will be bassist Fred Abong (Throwing Muses, Belly).
Hersh recently appeared on Stereo Embers: The Podcast with Alex Green and she talked about PTSD, how to crawl inside one’s head and overcoming shyness on stage. She also tells Alex that her son reminded her recently that in life we have to find our teammates. They’re out there and in order to live a life surrounded by like-minded folks, it’s up to us to not only find them, but to recognize them when they cross our paths.
