Terra Lightfoot played a riveting set the other night (6/14) at the Fairfield Theatre Company.
Opening for The Posies, the Canadian singer/songwriter played a generous selection of songs from her latest album (New Mistakes) as well as a few other numbers from her previous two efforts.
One of the most exciting live acts around, Lightfoot and her band ripped through their playlist with soulful authority. Lightfoot is an incredible blues guitarist and an equally impressive singer and as a result, every number was imbued with verve and heart.
“The Truth” and “Two Hearts” were especially powerful and the electric stomp of “Pinball King” was dynamic and infectious.
