It was pretty amazing to see Delbert McClinton live the other night.
Playing to a packed house at the Fairfield Theatre Company in Connecticut, the Texas-born bluesman was in fine form. His voice had all the muscle and nerve it did when he was a young man, and his harmonica playing confirmed that he’s one of the best in the business.
A GrammyAward-winning legend, McClinton and his band–minus his original guitar player who had an emergency only hours before the show–played an energetic and howling bland of blues and rock and roll.
