David Bowie Records The Theme For “The Last Panthers”

Written by:

Stereo Embers has just learned that David Bowie has recorded an original song that will be used as the theme for the upcoming television program “The Last Panthers.”

A crime thriller that will come in six parts, “The Last Panthers” is co-produced by Sky and France’s Canal+ and stars Samantha Morton, John Hurt and Tahar Rahim.

Although not much is known yet about the storyline, we have learned that the program begins with a diamond heist that leads viewers into the subterranean streets of Europe where they’ll be introduced to an underground world of hoodlums, hustlers and mobsters.

Bowie’s song will be the show’s theme and will feature in every episode over the opening credits.

Oddly, the last time Bowie contributed music for movies or TV was back in 1995, when he recorded “I’m Afraid Of Americans” for Showgirls.

20 years later, that still makes no sense to us.

“The Last Panthers” will be out in summer, 2016.
