The Blasters have announced an extensive set of U.S. dates that will find them on the road all Summer and well into the Fall.
Coming off a blistering set at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, the legendary rockabilly/cowpunk band from Downey have unleashed a breakneck coast-to-coast road itinerary that kicks off in early May. Although the 1978 lineup is a thing of the past, the band does feature two original members–singer Phil Alvin (who SEM’s Matt Sloan once referred to as “the sweaty sultan of cool”) and drummer Bill Bateman–along with guitar wiz Keith Wyatt and John Bazz.
Alvin’s brother Dave is not on this current swing through the states, but the brothers did just release a limited edition four-song EP called Hard Travelin’ for Record Store Day.
