San Francisco-based acoustic indie folk act Wax Moon is composed of veteran musicians Paul Kimball and John Blatchford.
While their partnership as Wax Moon is relatively new, their roots in the music field go back a while, with Kimball being the frontman of cosmic-country/rock outfit Careless Hearts, and Blatchford part of folk band The Mumlers and indie rock group Doctor Nurse.
As Wax Moon, the duo have released two EPs and recently followed them up with the mid-April drop of heartfelt and harmony-laden debut album Hello Morning.
The LP’s arrival was held up for a year by the pandemic, and before that it took two years to compose and record.
Hello Morning finally sees the light of day now and Wax Moon shine softly on their contemplative, gentle, and melodic folk tunes.
