Alex Green’s 27th installment of “The Heart Goes Boom” for Primal Radio features a lot of new music this week.
Alex plays new tracks by Father John Misty, Trampolene, the Trashcan Sinatras and The Battles Of Winter.
He also plays a version of Beyonce’s “Hold Up” by the Canadian band Stars.
“They turn it into a techno ska masterpiece,” Alex tell us. “It’s incredible.”
He also plays tracks by Uncle Tupelo, The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy and The Walkmen.
Alex also proposes to someone else’s girlfriend and explains how a flare gun can enliven a date.
“If it’s going poorly,” he says, “just fire it into the sky and see what conversation happens next.”
