Opening for The Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Capitol Theatre in New York, The National Reserve checked in the other night (3/24) with an inspired and engaging set.
Playing a rousing and thoughtful blend of American music that incorporates R&B, funk, blues and Americana, the Brooklyn-based outfit were in stirring form.
Singer/guitarist Sean Walsh is a captivating frontman and his band incorporated numbers from their In Due Time EP series as well as tracks from their debut album Motel La Grange.
From “Found Me A Woman” to “California,” The National Reserve, who are now bolstered by new keyboardist Henry Plotnick, are one of the best live bands around.
