Actor Brooke McCarter has died.
Best known for playing a vampire named Paul in the 1987 cult classic “The Lost Boys,” McCarter suffered from a genetic liver condition.
He was 52.
The Philadelphia-born McCarter attended Ohio State on a racquetball scholarship and later worked as a model.
He left school to move to New York to model and act and he quickly booked an appearance on the reworked “Twilight Zone.”
He’s best known for his roles in “Thrashin'” and “The Lost Boys,” but in later years became a documentary filmmaker, directing the critically-acclaimed movie about pot called “Leaves Of Green.”
On social media his family wrote: “Brooke was our loving son, brother, father, cousin, nephew and friend.”
