This week The Kooks make their first appearance on the latest episode Stereo Embers: The Podcast with Alex Green.
The Brighton band are currently touring behind their new album Let’s Go Sunshine and while on a West Coast swing, guitarist Hugh Harris stopped by the program for a chat.
In this interview Harris talks about Richie Sambora, crying on airplanes and why he loves being on the road. He also addresses the absence of democracy when making a solo record, why new cities fill him with optimism and seeking out the horns of Havana on a recent sojourn to Cuba. It’s a fast conversation, but it’s a good one that also covers Johnny Marr, the limitations of the guitar and whether or not Kooks singer Luke Pritchard is in Harris’ head.
