Smith tweeted, “We will be headlining around 20 festivals next summer, mostly in Europe.”
Smith then directed fans to The Cure’s official site and their Facebook page for up-to-the minute details.
Although festival specifics haven’t been revealed, it’s believed The Cure will headline Primavera Sound and Isle Of Wight, and some have suggested they might even play the Mad Cool Festival, which had Pearl Jam and the Arctic Monkeys headlining in 2018.
In other Cure news, back in April Smith said he was working on new material and that his hope would be for the band to enter the studio in December to record.
The Cure’s last album was 2008’s 4:13 Dream
