Marking the 30th anniversary of their third album Up To Our Hips, The Charlatans have announced a comprehensive expanded edition of the album.
Out November 8th, the Tim Burgess-curated anniversary edition will feature the original record along with ten bonus tracks comprised of rare mixes, live session tracks and more.
Featuring Burgess on vocals, Martin Blunt on bass, guitarist Mark Collins, keyboardist Rob Collins and drummer Jon Brookes, Up To Our Hips went Top Ten in the UK and spawned hits like “Can’t Get Out Of Bed” and “I Never Want An Easy Life If Me And He Were Ever To Get There.”
Released in March of 1994, Up To Our Hips is a viciously played funk rock song-cycle with hints of sixties pop and dark psychedelia.
In a statement, Burgess says: “Obviously this record is dedicated to both Rob and Jon and I hope the expanded edition allows the listener a never before sneak peek behind the curtain at a record being made by a band in crisis”
