The Stone Roses Set To Release New Single?

Written by:

The Stone Roses communicate in citrus.

The iconic lemon that appears on the cover of their legendary debut album is the Manchester’s band’s version of the Bat Signal.

In other words, if you see the lemon, things are about to happen.

The last lemon sightings came back in November, 2015 in the form of posters plastered with lemons, yet with no accompanying wording.

Soon after, the band announced they were set to tour in 2016.

And now, the lemons are back and floating all over Manchester shops and digital ad boards and fans of the band are speculating that this can only mean one thing: new music is on the way.

The ‘Roses, who haven’t put out new music since 1996, are rumored to be releasing a new single this week.

The band have not said anything about this rumor, but it’s been well-documented that they’ve been recording these last few months.

A fan named Lewis Jones claims he saw the ‘Roses Mani this past weekend and although the bassist wouldn’t say much on the subject, he did tell Jones to “stay tuned to his radio.”

In the meantime, check out a picture of a lemon sighting by ‘Roses fan Barabbas Youngblood, who tweeted this terrific shot:
