Stereolab’s new album Instant Holograms On Metal Film is out now.

The legendary avant-pop band’s first new effort in 15 years, Instant Holograms On Metal Film will find Stereolab touring behind the record through the end of 2025.

Stereolab will be playing a series of European dates that will last until July. From there, they’ll play in North America, with dates in Montreal, Toronto, San Francisco, Boston and Brooklyn before heading back to Europe.

The tour will end in late December at the O2 Academy in Oxford.

Of the thirteen-track new album, singer/guitarist Tim Gane says: “The idea to record a new LP came into focus around spring/summer 2023 and we started recording in January 2024. There were no rehearsals, as usual. We started again from scratch. “Always a beginner” is my attitude to things, just feeling my way through. Music is just an exciting adventure and I don’t have any trepidation about doing it or presenting it to others. What comes out comes out.”
