Modern alternative rock band Love Ghost radiate a Cali-cool vibe on their new music video for reflective reminiscer “Shine Like Gold.”
The LA-based outfit is composed of Finnegan Bell (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Stevens (bass, backing vocals), Daniel Alcala (guitar, engineer, backing vocals), Samson Young (drums, backing vocals), and Cory Batchler (keyboards, engineer, backing vocals).
Specializing in grunge, emo, and hip-hop, Love Ghost has quickly risen in the ranks for playing music their own way and blending old-school and new styles with fresh attitude, unusual compositions, and 100% DIY passion.
Legions of fans have flocked to the band, not only for their vivid sound, but also for the perceptive and introspective lyrics that tackle relevant psychological and social issues.
Love Ghost take a breather from the seriousness, at least visually, with their latest track, the laid-back “Shine Like Gold.” The poignant lyrics focus on undying love, while the style mixes trap elements with emotive balladeering and burnished rock guitars.
Stereo Embers is pleased to host the premiere of the copacetic music video for the song, a day before its official release.
As the self-produced single’s title implies, brilliant sunshine illuminates the pleasing beach scenes in the video clip.
Set on the sandy shores of California, the band perform the song amid crashing ocean waves, swaying palm trees, soaring seagulls, a wide boardwalk, and active skate park.
The video is a delightful respite from the recent winter weather hitting the Northern Hemisphere, and hopefully is a harbinger for the summer to come.
Lead singer Finnegan Bell comments, “We all have a part of us that shines through; that shines like gold. This song celebrates that uniqueness in all of us.”
