Our Track of the Day today comes from the legendary North Carolina band Superchunk.
The veteran indie outfit are back with a brand new album called Wild Loneliness that features an array of guests, including Mike Mills from R.E.M., Sharon Van Etten and Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura.
The latest single from the upcoming album is “This Night” and it’s a jangly and meditative track that’s swooning with nostalgia and optimism.
It finds singer Mac McCaughan in a sentimental mood and the result is a falsetto-laced number that’s catchy and emotionally precise.
The follow-up to 2018’s What A Time To Be Alive, Wild Loneliness will be out February 25th on Merge.
