Last November, the dreamy Swedish electronic producer Moist released the Lavine LP, a 10-track album with vocals by Maria Marcus, a Swedish multiplatinum songwriter and music producer (Namie Amuro, Shinee, Girls Generation, T-Pain, and Afrojack) currently based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
Based in Söderhamn, Sweden, Moist is the solo moniker of producer, artist and remixer David Elfström Lilja and as Moist he has officially remixed artists like Pet Shop Boys, Imogen Heap, Moby, Erasure, The Knife, Butterfly Boucher, Red Snapper, Agnes, and Antiloop, and he has also been nominated for the Hollywood Music In Media Awards three years in a row.
Moist is all Scandinavian electronic pop music, with a high-quality sound, and the usual Scandinavian attitude when they write that kind of music, for the masses!
“I wanna make music that you can listen to and enjoy and also have in the background as ambient music when you have a deep conversation with your best friend,” says Lilja in a press release for the album.
If you are in the mood with artists like Massive Attack, Imogen Heap, Moby, or even Goldfrapp, this release will comfort you the most.
Our Track of the Day is “Traces,” which is a great example of what makes this album so marvelous.
Keep Up with Moist
