Based currently from Texas (their origins, though we have our ideas, remain a mystery), BOAN is a beguiling 2-piece dark/synth-wave outfit made up of Mariana Saldana and Jose Cota. “Mentiras” comes from a recently released EP of the same name on HoloDeck and has us reaching deep in our closets for our long leather coats as the irresistible urge takes hold to lurk about the dark recesses of a moon- and neon-lit night downtown, pretending it’s Berlin in 1984.
