You know how some bands can do a cover version of a song and just make it their own? The way Hendrix did with, “All Along the Watchtower” or Johnny Cash with, “Hurt”? Leeds, UK based post-punk band Klammer have done it with their crunching cover of The Human League’s, “Being Boiled.”
From a late 70’s synth based classic to modern day guitar based screamer, Guitarist Steve Whitfield takes the song to new heights along with the commanding deep vocal of Pos telling us to, “Listen to the voice of Buddha.” Meanwhile, bass player Mike Addy and drummer Robert Longley keep the backbone strong.
The band are currently writing their fourth album but wanted to tease us all with this incredible take on The Human League. If you haven’t heard their album, You Have Been Processed (voted by this reviewer as one of last years best albums), give your ears another treat by listening to it after checking out the new single by clicking on the Soundcloud link below.
