Well, you know us, can’t help but step back into the (dark)wavering twilight every now and again, it’s just too damned tempting. This time ’round we’re finding ourselves in helpless thrall to the Italian band Geometric Vision’s, umm, vision of an umber, panoramic dystopia caught inside an atmosphere that’s alternately lambent and shadowed, its drive both ringingly melodic and menacing. Taken from their just-released album Virtual Analog Tears (on SEM fave label Swiss Dark Nights and available here), it would be wise to expect a full-on review of this album in an upcoming Shadowplay column.
