Our Track of the Day today comes from one of SEM’s all-time favorite bands, Golden Curtain.
Hailing from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, this trio has all the glorious jangle of The Byrds and the indie pop majesty of The Clean.
The follow up to last year’s dazzling Dream City, the band’s new single “Hell Is Other People” is an existential fight song, buoyed by unforgettable choruses, rootsy harmonies and a backbeat held down by one of the best drummers working in music today.
Taken from the new album of the same name, this is a dark and tuneful number that’s so infectious, it’s impossible not to play it less than ten times in a row.
Enjoy!
