Our first TOTD band to hail from the Isle of Man, pop indie psychsters Cartesian Jetstream seem perched on the edge of, if not exactly the big time, at least the very large time. Set to release their sophomore LP Ancestors on April 15th (debut Sleep Over emerged in 2013), we find their jangling smooth blend of baggy-meets-Britpop-meets-bodacious popsike smarts to be as irresistible as those Owsley-dipped rum-flavored lollipops we keep hoping to find. Seeing as such a thing will likely never get beyond the dream stage, we’re grateful indeed to have Cartesian Jetstream as a virtual alternative.
