The Pixies’ new album Head Carrier will be out on September 30.

Containing twelve new songs, the album was produced by Tom Dalgety (Killing Joke, Royal Blood) and recorded at London’s Rak Studios.

Head Carrier marks the official permanent member status of new(ish) bassist Paz Lenchantin, who has been with the band since 2014.

Our Track of the Day today is “Talent” which is taken from Head Carrier. A surging blast of searing post-punk and jumpy New Wave, “Talent” finds the legendary band sounding reinvigorated and as potent as ever.

And the song even namechecks Jack Palance.
