Stereo Embers’ TRACK OF THE DAY: Gold Class’s “Rose Blind”

Written by:

Alive with a feral howl and grinding Goth muscle, Gold Class’s “Rose Blind” ripples with power and urgency.

Fronted by singer Adam Curley’s dark growl, the Melbourne outfit’s “Rose Blind” brings to mind The Birthday Party or a more rabid version of The Triffids.

The fire and sting of “Rose Blind” is an indicative sample of just how potent Gold Class’s new album Drum actually is.

The band’s sophomore effort was produced by Gareth Liddiard of The Drones and it’s easily one of the year’s best.
