Chris Catalena and the Natives’ new album Here Comes The Time is absolutely wonderful.
Catalena is a Texas native and also known as a band member of Christian Bland & The Revelators (The Black Angels). The album was recorded with Rob Campanella (Brian Jonestown Massacre) in Los Angeles.
Described as a “Psychedelic Cowboy Pianist” by the Austin Chronicle, Catalena’s piano melodies are beautiful and enticing and these songs are nothing short of addicting.
Here Comes The Time has been on heavy rotation in my household and I can safely say that Catalena is one of the best songwriters I’ve stumbled upon in years.
