Uma & the Wandering Stars are an emerging London-based band whose music is an eclectic mixture of alternative rock, shoegaze, and indie pop.

The band consists of Uma, Itamar, Diego, and Pav. The four members come from very different backgrounds in different countries, and have played in their past projects anything from the EuroBGvision contest to supporting Suede on their tour.

Uma & the Wandering Stars recently recorded their debut EP, Trapped, which was mastered by Dick Beetham (Stereophonics, Scissor Sisters, KT Tunstall) and produced by Fraser Smith (ex-Shed Seven), who also played some of the keyboards parts.

Trapped has been drawing the interest of industry people, including Simon Williams from Fierce Panda Records who loved what he called the EP’s “elegant rocking sensibilities”, saying it was “lovely.”

The first single from the EP, “I Don’t Know”, was aired by radio stations such as BBC London, Amazing Radio, and RTÉ 2FM, as well as spun on college radio in the UK and Germany. It has also been featured, and getting rave reviews, on various music blogs like The Revue, Rebel Noise, and KMS Musicblog.

Stereo Embers Magazine is pleased to premiere the band’s beautiful second single, “When You Go.” It’s a dreamily haunting, Twin Peaks-infused dream-pop ballad/duet that features Uma and Itamar Starets on vocals.
