Stereo Embers’ Song Premiere: Altre di B’s “Erevan”

Written by:

Bologna, Italy is the home to the hard-rocking quartet Altre di B. The band will be releasing their new LP, Miranda!, on October 6th via Black Candy Records.

Since 2005, Altre di B has played hundreds of gigs all over Europe, carrying around a lively and energetic sound inspired by bands such as TV on the Radio and the Vines. After bringing the second album Sport to Sziget Festival, Ypsigrock Festival as support band of Alt-J and Primal Scream, and to the West Coast of the United States for three DIY tours, Altre di B performed at Primavera Sound and SXSW Festival to present the forthcoming album Miranda!, where the punk spirit meets down-tempo groove.

Miranda! is a concept album and a tribute to the homonym book written by Quirico Filopanti in 1858 which includes the first theory of time zones. As a consequence, the album is all about geography, cultural anthropology, maps, and airports. The idea was born from the band’s experiences of tours, traveling, literature, and university studies.

Stereo Embers premieres a track off the album, the lively “Erevan” that runs of a staccato hip-hop rhythm, strutting beat, tambourine jingle, grinding bass line, subdued acoustic guitar lines, light keyboard notes, and exclaimed sing-talking vocals.

Even bigger news if you’re in the NYC area is that they’re playing Mondo.NYC festival tonight! They’ll be setting up shop at DROM and are going on at 9:30 PM. More info on Mondo.NYC: http://mondo.nyc/
