Well, you’ve already heard us gush about the upcoming The Granite Shore album on our “Ten Most Anticipated Albums..” piece a few weeks ago, and we’re not ready to add anything substantive to what we said then (we are, in other words, still going to leave you hanging, waiting for the review proper which should appear in a little over a month) but, in hopes of fending off any accusations of cruelly teasing our readership, we offer you this, the first video single released from the forthcoming Once More From The Top album. Inordinately sumptuous, the sound as rich as anything we’ve heard in recent memory – and, it should be noted, exemplary of the entire LP – and blessed with the sonorous authority of a Nick Halliwell’s vocal that suggests nothing less that the paradoxical description ‘dynamic humility,’ the track is also something of an understated tour de force of baroque pop sensibilities. In short, a crackin’ introduction to what may well be a landmark under-the-radar album that, should the universe be in its right mind, will be playing up on everyone’s screens come summer. Listen up.
