Stereo Embers’ Photo Editor Geoff Tischman caught Matthew Ryan live in New York last night and will be filing an extensive photo essay of the Pennsylvania native’s set.
“The show was really amazing,” Geoff told us. “Matthew Ryan is, by far, one of the most important and vital American singer/songwriters around. He can play scorching rockers or poetic ballads that bring to mind everyone from The Replacements to Springsteen.”
Geoff went on to add: “It was a completely captivating performance–Ryan is emotive, charismatic and utterly engaging. I loved the show.”
