Alexander Miranda, the primary creative force behind Olympia WA’s post-punk wunderkinds Underpass, has taken the plunge and launched his own label called No Sun Recordings and as an inaugural release has landed a monster, the highly-tipped, Vancouver BC-based, psych-garage art-punk noise titans Other Jesus, whose debut album Everything is Problematic will see the staggering light of day September 19th. Equal parts speaker-ruined amplitude, dissolute Pylonesque attitude, and seemingly tossed-off hook-laced aptitude, it’s as deftly balanced and immediate a two-and-a-half minute single as we’ve heard this year. We’re already on our fourth spin and there seems to be no end in sight. Also, they’re on a West Coast tour starting pretty August 19th and running to Sept. 1st, you can check out the tour dates down below.
