I caught the Lemonheads for the first time the other night (5/2) at the Fairfield Theatre Company in Connecticut.

Evan Dando and his band of merry men stormed through a powerful set that drew on the band’s extensive discography and though the membership of the Boston outfit has changed quite a bit over the years, the current line-up is really solid.

Too many highlights to mention them all, but “Rudderless” was a straight-up blast of ’90s stomp; “It’s A Shame About Ray” was breezy and on point and “Into Your Arms” was about as soaringly perfect as you can get.
