Sinead O’Connor Found–Singer Taken To The Hospital

Sinead O’Connor has been found.

After over 24 hours of being missing, the Wilmette, Illinois police have issued a statement that explains O’Connor is, “safe and is no longer listed as a missing/endangered person.”

The Irish singer was found at a hotel in the area and, according to the Daily Beast, was taken to a local hospital.

The 49-year-old singer had gone missing after embarking on an early morning bike ride. The original report said she had left around 1pm, but police reports said she actually left closer to a little after 6am. Although it wasn’t clear if she was distraught when she left, at 6:12am she posted a message to her eldest son that referenced what appears to be an ongoing custody battle:

“Jake, kindly go to the court on Tuesday and take custody your brother from Tusla. My lawyer will be making the illegal way yourself and Donal got him into Tusla (lying to the cops etc) known to the judge. expect to be in trouble. In fact you’d best bring a lawyer of your own. And do not abandon your brother or any other of my babies again. What you have done to your brother and your mother is LITERALLY criminal.”

It’s not clear how O’Connor spent the next thirty hours, but she was out of touch with everyone and had fallen cleanly off the radar, causing many to speculate something had happened to her.

They had good reason.

In November of 2015 O’Connor posted on social media that she had overdosed and her message came across as a very public suicide note.
