The late Shane MacGowan left a posthumous gift for both his friends and his favorite local pub.
MacGowan, who died Nov 30th, left behind a generous amount to cover the bar tab at his wake.
According to a report from The Independent, MacGowan earmarked €10,000 (or $12,500) for his friends and family to drink the night away at The Thatched Cottage in Nenagh after his Dec 8th funeral.
One of MacGowan’s drinking buddies told the outlet it was the former Pogues singer’s last request.
Present at the pub were Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream, actor Johnny Depp and Glen Hansard.
