Ride have announced a reissue plan for 1990’s Nowhere and 1992’s Going Blank Again.
The Oxford outfit formed in 1988 and emerged as one of the pioneering bands of the shoegaze movement.
Put out by Creation, Nowhere is one of those debut albums that became an instant masterpiece. A storm of sonic layers that rise and fall and roll through feedback-soaked melodies, the songs on Nowhere blazed with psychedelia and wistful pop smarts.
Meanwhile, 1992’s Going Blank Again picked up where Nowhere left off, and hit the #5 spot on the UK charts.
Ride will be remastering both albums for reissue and they will be available on both CD and in digital formats. The vinyl versions will feature gatefold sleeves and will be pressed in both double orange and blue versions.
The band will also be reissuing their first four EPs: Ride, Play, Fall and Today Forever.
Packaged together in one attractive set, the collection will be pressed on double white vinyl and will also have a gatefold sleeve.
The releases will be issued by Wichita on November 4, 2022.
